On Wednesday morning, community members bought their rods, reels, and tackle boxes, and joined the Bass Grabbers, as Able2 hosted its annual Fishing Derby at Eldridge Park.
As always the event was a huge success. “This is our Day Habilitation program’s 15th year organizing the fishing derby,” said Leisa Alger, Executive Director of Able2.
Many consider attending the program as the official kick-off to summer and it’s also a way to get the community together. This fishing derby is an example of how Able2’s Day Hab program provides relationship building opportunities both within our community and the program.
