A family in Addison is left with nothing after a fire destroys their home and claims the lives of their 6 pets.

It happened Friday evening on Hardscrabble Road in Addison where Tonya Cross lived with her husband and 6-month-old son for 11 years.

These photos of the aftermath show the extent of the damage.

No one was home at the time of the fire, except for the family’s 2 dogs and 4 cats who unfortunately died in the blaze.

The family believes it was coal burning stove that caused the fire.

18 News is told authorities are still investigating.

An online fundraiser has been set up to help the family raise the $6,000 needed to put a down payment on a new home.
