The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office arrested 40-year-old Thomas M. Ostrander of Big Flats, following an investigation lasting several months into the distribution of narcotics from his residence.
On June 19, 2019, members of the Sheriff’s Office, along with members of the Elmira Drug Enforcement Unit, and New York State Police executed a search warrant at Ostrander’s residence.
Methamphetamine, marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms were seized during the search.
Ostrander has been Indicted and charged by a Chemung County Grand Jury with Criminal Sale of Controlled Substances in the 5th Degree, a Class D Felony, and Criminal Sale of Marijuana in the 4th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor. Further criminal charges are expected.
Ostrander has been remanded to the Chemung County Jail without bail pending arraignment in Chemung County Court.
