We are now just over a week away from welcoming one of the biggest stars in country music to Endicott.
Blake Shelton will take the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open Stage on the 18th green at En-Joie Friday August 17.
Shelton has been nominated for multiple Grammy’s and has won a wide selection of awards including the CMA Male Vocalist of the Year five times.
Dick’s Open concert Marketing Manager Dave Pessagno says to avoid overcrowding on the fairway they will be capping ticket sales at about 16,000.
He says they are aware of the issues with last year’s Bon Jovi concert and that they have made sure to correct them.
“Blake’s team has been wonderful to work with.Last year with Bon Jovi and him being late and people getting upset, his team is very aware of that. He’s going to be in town early. We’re going to do everything right this year. We’ve had these concerts for 30 years and we had one bad year and we’re not going to let that bother us. We’re going to move on and have a great year,” said Pessagno.
Kendal Conrad will open the show at 7 p.m. with Shelton taking the stage at 8 p.m.
Tickets are still available and can purchased for $75 either in store at Dick’s Sporting Goods or online at Ticketmaster.
