BMX Track Teams / Riders compete at the 2018 New York State Championship Series

Local BMX Track Teams / Riders competed at the 2018 New York State Championship Series, Finale this past Saturday in Shoreham, Long Island.

The Horseheads BMX Track, consisted of four teams: Oh Sew Cute, Chain Reaction, Legend Racing and Horseheads BMX Race Team.

Riders, ranging in ages from age 4 to 32, competed in their rage and skill groups. They Riders competed throughout the year at a minimum of 4 special regional qualifier events, and at Saturdays finale event to be eligible to achieve a state ranking.

A total of five Team Riders achieved the highest individual state ranking of 2018 State Champion #1 for their age/proficiency rankings in the “Cruiser” division. Here are the winners: Becky Seymour,  Delaney Becker, Regis Farren, Blaise Farren and Local Certified BMX Coach Ty Baccile II.

Seven  Team Riders earned 20″ class division rankings from #2 to #11. They are: Regis Farren. (#2) ,  Nick Seymour (#3 {Cruiser Division}), Blaise Farren (#4), Landon Becker (#6), Myanna Mazurowski (#9), Deegan Hauk (#10) and Kellen McDonnell (#11). 

Both Chain Reaction and Oh Sew Cute were able to post stellar marks as well. They combined to compete in the Trophy Team Division and finished 1st overall at the event.

Horseheads BMX is a local USA BMX Sanctioned racing facility in Horseheads NY, open from April to October. Races are held every Saturday beginning at noon. Practices are scheduled Wednesdays at 5:00m and rider clinics are Mondays at 5:30pm.
