Casting Call for Movie on NY Prison Break

David Sweat was serving a life sentence for killing a Broome County Sheriff’s Deputy on July 4th, 2002.
His partner, Richard Matt, was serving a 25-years to life sentence for the 1997 murder of his boss.
In June 2015 the two men escaped from the Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, New York, setting a statewide manhunt into motion.
Over the weekend a casting call was held for extras in a movie about the prison break to air on Showtime .
One man auditioning said he saw the ad on Facebook and decided to try out on a whim. 
“It’s really interesting and I think for this area, it’s a pretty big deal to be part of it. It’s just an honor, you know?” he said.
