It’s a stressful time for graduating seniors – time is running out for those who want to secure a job ahead of graduation day.
Corning Community College is attempting to ease those anxieties by hosting a Regional Job Fair.
More than 80 employers will be on hand to answer questions and share more about their companies. For a list of employers participating, click here.
The fair is set to take place on Thursday, April 25 from 12 – 3 p.m. in the gymnasium on the Spencer Hill Campus of CCC. It’s open to the public, not just college students.
“There will be lots of opportunities to interact directly with employers that will be there,” Dr. Katherine Douglas, President of CCC, said. “But we’ll also have a special resource room set up so there’s an opportunitiy for folks to tune up their resumes or do online applications, because so many employers these days are looking for online applications.”
Dr. Douglas said there will also be a workshop for a new software, called Purple Briefcase, that attempts to match what employers are looking for with what job seekers have to offer.
