Thursday will mark the one year anniversary of the brutal murder of a young Southern Tier mother of two.
It’s a story that rocked the Twin Tiers and has made national headlines. Now, the home where that murder took place is up for sale.
2181 Ginnan Road in Caton is listed on multiple real estate websites. This was Kelley Clayton’s home, and it’s where the 35-year-old was found brutally murdered in the early morning hours of Sept. 29, 2015.
The Steuben County real property website lists Kelley along with her husband Thomas Clayton as owners of the property. According to the real estate listing, the home is priced at $239,900.
Thomas Clayton, a former Elmira Jackals hockey player, is accused of hiring Michael Beard of Elmira to kill Kelley.
Both men are facing charges in the case and just last month a third man, Mark Blandford of Elmira, was also charged in connection to Kelly’s murder. All three men have pleaded not guilty to the charges they face.
Blandford and Beard remain in the Steuben County Jail. Beard’s trial is set to start next month. Thomas Clayton is free on bail and his trial is set for January of 2017.
