Colleagues Pay Tribute to Late Postman

Local News

The Elmira community said goodbye to a beloved postman on Saturday.

Tim Webster, 60, was killed in his Big Flats home last week. Police said Curtis Burrows, 32, of Mansfield shot and killed him after forcing his way into Webster’s home following an attempted kidnapping in Corning the night before.

Webster’s co-workers and community members paid tribute at the McInerny Funeral Home on Saturday night.
A post truck was seen with a large black ribbon and bow on the hood in front of the funeral home.
