It was a bright and sunny Saturday for Corning Community College’s Class of 2019.
The graduates walked across the stage to pick up their diplomas or certificates. Some of them will be going into the workforce and others will transfer to four-year institutions.
Though they may have learned a lot, CCC President Dr. Kate Douglas told the graduating class that their learning will not stop at graduation.
“You have learned a great deal, but I guarantee you there’s more to learn,” Douglas Said. “Be curious, be assertive, follow that interest of yours and always have your curiosity drive the direction of your evolving path.”
A total of 584 students graduated. Douglas said 17 military veterans were among the graduates, as well as another student who “may be at an age where others may be considering retirement.”
