Hannah Jones and Sara Blagg, organizers of the upcoming Corning pride event stop by 18 News to discuss the first ever Corning Pride Celebration.
June is pride month. It acknowledges and celebrates members of the LGBTQ+ community, and aims to encourage people to be proud of who they are, while also reminding everyone that every human deserves to be treated with equality and respect.
This will be the first ever pride event held in Corning, and a large turnout is expected. The event is taking place June 15 from Noon to 4 p.m. and it is free and open for anyone to attend.
The Corning Museum of Glass is also participating by offering free admission on June 16 when you show your button from Corning’s Pride Celebration the day before. The free admission is good for you and a guest.
