A Corning man will spend the next two-and-a-half years in prison for possession of child pornography.
It was alleged that between 2013 and December of 2016, 54-year-old Kevin Theil, a former employee of Corning Inc., had over 300 images of child porn on his laptop.
He was arrested last February after search warrants were executed at his home in Corning and at his lake house in Hammondsport.
Theil allegedly received the images over the internet. Some of the images depicted prepubescent minors and violence.
Along with spending 30 months behind bars, Theil will also serve 10 years of post-release supervision.
