Ready or not, here come the holidays! One small business is already into the Christmas spirit.
For the past 29 years, the Cottage Gift Shop opens its doors featuring hand crafted gifts from all over the world.
The store sits on 2445 State Route 352 in Elmira.
Owners say the holiday season is huge for them as November and December covers most of their revenue for the whole year.
“I usually wait until Halloween is over then the very next day I switch over to Christmas and it’s quite a job, I have to pack away all the Halloween and bring out all the Christmas and put up the tree and it’s a lot of fun but it’s a lot of work,” said co-owner Tom Gorman.
Gorman tells 18 News he’s looking forward to Small Business Saturday next week. The event has increased store traffic over the past few years.
