UPDATE (6:30 P.M.): County Route 115 in Lindley is re-open after police say they responded to a mental health situation on Kuhl Road, that ended in the death of a male. According to New York State Police, the public is not in danger.
UPDATE (5:00 P.M.): There is a heavy police presence, including a SWAT team and a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
UPDATE (3:05 P.M.): PennDOT issuing the following alert;
Motorists in Tioga County are advised Route 15 northbound and Route 1015 are closed from the Borough of Lawrenceville to the New York border due to police activity.
A detour is in place using Route 15 southbound to Route 6 eastbound to Route 14 north.
A portion of County Route 115 has been shut down Wednesday afternoon in the Steuben County Town of Lindley. The road is shutdown after Morgan Creek Road, according to our reporter on the scene.
Authorities have not yet given a reason why the road is closed. Our reporter said there is an ambulance on standby.
Lindley was hit hard by flood damage after storms this past weekend. Construction crews working on flood recovery are stuck on the other side of Route 115. They’re trying to find alternate routes, but it’s difficult because other routes are impassable from the flooding damage.
