The Democratic candidate for the 58th State Senate District met with Democrats in Corning Monday night.

18 News asked Leslie Danks Burke what she thought of the ethics reform package approved by New York State Lawmakers last week.

She said, “What ethics reform package? I don’t see that this legislature has done very much on ethics reform at all. What we need is comprehensive ethics reform that actually is going to take the money out of politics.,”

Danks Burke said she will not receive any outside income or money through the L.L.C. or political committee loopholes while campaigning or while in office if elected.

She’s challenging Republican Incumbent State Senator Tom O’Mara of Big Flats to do the same.
