On this week’s edition of Diner Politics, we spoke to neighbors at Anne’s Pancakes in Elmira’s Southside about 3-D printed guns.
The debate continues over 3-D printed guns and the blueprints to make them.
A temporary restraining order stopped the release of files that were supposed to go online this week.
But many fear that the genie is already out of the bottle.
The order reversed a June settlement with the federal government that would have allowed the 3D-printable gun files to be available for download on Tuesday.
Even so, some posted online early. More than 12 thousand downloads of gun files were made before the website shut down.
