It looks like neighbors in Elmira’s first district will soon have a new councilman to represent them.
Mayor Dan Mandell confirmed to 18 News that the City Council will vote at its meeting on Monday night on Tom Krebs to replace the first district councilman who resigned.
Earlier this month Councilman James Waters announced he was resigning from office citing “personal reasons”.
Waters had represented the city’s first district for three years.
