Elmira College students donate to NICU in preparation for dance marathon fundraiser

Local News

A group of students from Elmira College spent Tuesday afternoon at Arnot Ogden’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and they brought with them, handmade baby blankets and pillows for the preemie babies that sometimes spend the first weeks or months of their lives in the unit. The donation is in preparation for the college’s 12 hour dance marathon coming up at the end of March.

“We’re raising money, our goal is $16,000 to give back to the Arnot Ogden Hospital through the Children’s Miracle Network so we really appreciate any amount of help, if you follow our Facebook…Elmira College Dance Marathon…we’re on Instagram…so any kind of support from the community really helps us,” Elmira College Dance Marathon Director Olivia Cacchione said.

The marathon is taking place on Saturday, March 23rd, at St. Anthony’s Church in Elmira from 12pm-12am. Students will be collecting donations that will go directly to help fund the NICU.
