Elmira woman charged with burglary, more charges pending

The Elmira Police Department arrested 29-year-old Amanda Marvin after a burglary investigation on W. Clinton Street, and police say she may be connected to other burglaries.

Police responded on June 18 and the homeowners provided surveillance video that helped identify the suspect.

Marvin has been charged with Burglary in the Second Degree, a Class C Felony.

Upon being taken into custody, an inventory of Marvin’s property revealed she was in possession of stolen items reported from two separate residential Burglaries; a residential Burglary in the Town of Elmira and another on Johnson St in the City of Elmira.

The investigation into these crimes is ongoing with more charges expected to be filed.
