The Environmental Protection Agency recently issued a fine against Finger Lakes LPG Storage for what they say continuing worker safety and Clean Air Act violations.
This is not the first time that facility has been fined for what the EPA is calling persistent safety violations which have been unresolved since being fined in the past.
Often times, protesters are on the site of the Crestwood location in Reading, but this most recent instance stems from violations at the company’s Savona facility.
The fines will total $300,000. Half of that money will go to local fire departments.
