A Corning man convicted for severely abusing a pug early last year is heading back to jail.
Friday morning Erik Miller was sentenced to one year in the Chemung County Jail for a probation violation stemming from the original animal abuse case.
While on probation, Miller allegedly got into a domestic incident on Dec. 20 in Elmira Heights where he was charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing.
He also admitted to using heroin and percocet while on probation, another violation.
Miller will answer the Obstruction of Breathing charges in Elmira Heights at a later date.
