The Ernie Davis Community Center held the first meeting for their new music consortium program Tuesday evening.
The program will offer help to aspiring singers, musicians, as well as those looking for guidance behind the scenes in the music business as well. Program Dean Anita Lewis said the center is also looking to add a recording studio in the future.
“You know you start from square one in the goal is to get groups to sing, even maybe have band members to play for our singers and then get them to perform and record themselves and have people from the outside coming in to record in our studio as well,” Lewis said.
“So it’s really just the culture art form of our Ernie Davis Community Center Music Consortium our program so we just want to open up and see what we get,” she said.
Lewis tells 18 News that they will be having a performance in Dec. during the holiday season.
