171 Cedar Arts Center is hosting a fundraising event on Saturday, June 15 called “Kaleidoscope – a Grand Soirée.”
The event will take place at the Corning Museum of Glass on June 15 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will feature art, food, music, dancing, and a live auction.
23 local artists will display their work of oil, acrylic, ceramics and more for the Mosaic Exhibit.
“This is really important because we need to help sustain 171, it does cost money to run an art center and this is a great way to make us visible in the community and support artists as we’re doing it,” Amanda Warren, a ceramic technician and art instructor at 171 Cedar Arts, said.
The center also just recently celebrated its 50th anniversary and there will be a proclamation from the state at the event to celebrate.
Tickets are $125 for members and $150 for non-members. Proceeds will benefit the center’s scholarship fund, and ensure that it can continue offering quality arts education, art exhibits, and live performances to local residents for years to come.
