TOWANDA, Pa. (WETM) – Pennsylvania State Police have identified the victim of Tuesday’s fatal crash on Route 187 as 34-year-old Ryan Bush of Towanda.

State Police say Bush was driving a 2003 Honda Accord southbound at a high rate of speed when he left the roadway on the southbound shoulder. The vehicle then re-entered the roadway and slid counterclockwise into the path of a Toyota Tundra.

State Police say the pickup truck struck the Honda’s side and suffered disabling damage. The truck was seen being towed with severe front-end damage.

State Police say Bush was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 66-year-old male driver of the pickup truck was transported by Memorial Hospital EMS to Robert Packer Hospital for suspected minor injuries.

State Police say no charges or citations have been filed at this time.

Route 187 near Echo Beach Road was closed for about two hours.

State Police were assisted by Wysox Township Volunteer Fire Department, Bradford County Public Safety, PennDOT, and Towanda Memorial Ambulance Services.
