Chemung County Humane Society and SPCA is changing the lives of animals that are in need of a loving home.
Especially animals that have a special need.
“They come in more often then you think, the special needs animals,” said Communications and Marketing Manager Arynn Brucie. “We are lucky enough to have the resources to have when they do,” added Brucie.
And they are coveted to say the least.
“They tend to be quite popular,” said Brucie. “I think because they are unique in a way. People have a soft spot for animals that have suffered some hurt in the past. They tend to leave the shelter quickly and we are grateful for that,” added Brucie.
And human kind wants to do the right thing for animals that need a family.
“Humans are good and here to do the right thing,” said Brucie. “We are so lucky for social media. People reach out and we are happy that the animals have their forever home,” added Brucie.
