FRIDAY SUNRISE: 5:37 AM
FRIDAY SUNSET: 8:46 PM
Stationary front continuing to impact the region. We continue to have a chance of showers and thunderstorms heading through the afternoon today. Some of these thunderstorms will have the potential to produce moderate rainfall. Isolated flooding will be possible, if one of these cells moves slowly over an area. This morning we started the day off with temperatures in the low 70s. We’ll see highs reach the upper 80s, close to 90 this afternoon. Heat indices will be on a range of 90-95 degrees.
Staying on the muggy side overnight as lows will hover around the 70 degree mark, so you may want to keep your air conditioners running overnight. Showers and thunderstorms linger into the overnight hours and patchy fog will develop by Saturday morning. Showers and thunderstorm chances stay with us for the start of the weekend. Potential for some heavy rain fall within these thunderstorms are possible. Highs on Saturday will be in the 80s with dew point values in the 70s.
Once the frontal boundary from Saturday passes high pressure will build over the region. This will provide us with a dry, comfortable, and sunny start to the work week. Temperatures will be more seasonable with highs in the low 80s and then in the mid 80s by Wednesday. The sunny weather will last through mid week, before cloud cover increase ahead of a system that will bring a return of the we weather for Thursday.
