High pressure across the northeast provides dry weather with some sunshine to start off Wednesday morning. With a lack of cloud cover to start the day, wake up temperatures begin in the 20s. High temperatures will be more seasonable today with highs reaching the mid-30s. South winds will remain light through the afternoon, anywhere from 5-10 mph. Cloud cover increases from west to east through the day, allowing skies to turn mostly cloudy by the later afternoon hours.
High pressure moves off to the east allowing a clipper system to slide through from the Great Lakes and across upstate New York tonight. Skies tonight will be mostly cloudy with the chance for light snow showers. A quick dusting up to 1″ of snowfall possible for most spots. Overnight lows drop near 30 degrees.
Showers may linger early Thursday morning. Otherwise, skies will remain mostly cloudy and high temperatures will rise near 40 degrees. Sun and clouds for Friday with warmer temperatures in the mid to upper 40s. Chance for showers returns Friday night into the upcoming weekend.
