Very cold wind chills early Tuesday morning with some sunshine returning to the area by daybreak. Cloud cover will increase through the afternoon, but the weather pattern remains dry. High temperatures Tuesday top out in the mid to upper-20s. Wind chill values remain in the teens to single digits throughout the day. Winds remain lighter, out of the south, anywhere from 5-10 mph. 

Skies turn cloudy Tuesday night with overnight lows dropping to the teens. Winds remain out of the south, anywhere from 5-10 mph. High pressure resides over the region, keeping the weather pattern dry overnight with a wintry mix of sleet, freezing rain, and light snow possible early Wednesday morning.

Surface low pressure over the Great Lakes pushes a warm front through the region Wednesday. Chance for a wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain Wednesday morning, turning to all rain by late day. Highs Wednesday approaching 40 degrees. A cold front then follows overnight. Lingering rain transitions to snow late Wednesday night into early Thursday as temperatures drop to near freezing. Chance for snow continues for Thursday. Early models showing snowfall amounts between 1-3″ for most of the Twin Tiers. Chance for snow showers continues Friday with highs only in the 20s.
