A Flood Watch in effect for Tioga (N.Y), Tioga (Pa.), and Bradford counties through Friday night. Heavy rainfall may cause poor drainage issues along with standing water in low lying issues. Concerns for areas along with the Susquehanna and Delaware River basins.
Low pressure making an impact for the end of the work week. This system developing in the south pushes north into the region through the day with rain becoming likely after sunset. Rain continues through the overnight, and heavy at times. Lows Thursday night near 40 degrees.
Occasional rain continues for Friday. Total rainfall from Thursday night through Friday of 1-2″ possible, which may cause poor drainage issues. Strong southerly flow continues to usher in the warmer than average temperatures. Highs Friday approaching 60 degrees. Chance for showers continue overnight, and lows in the mid to upper 30s.
Chance for showers continues Saturday, both as rain and as snow with cooling temperatures. This is as low pressure moves out of the region leaving us with a cold northwest wind. Highs Saturday reaching to near 40 degrees, then lows into the mid to upper 20s. Flurries still possible on Sunday, and highs approaching 40 degrees.
