SUNDAY SUNSET: 4:40 PM
We had high temperatures today reach the mid to upper 30s, about 30 degrees colder across the region after we saw highs in the low to mid 60s on Friday. Chilly temperatures will remain this weekend. Lows tonight falling to the mid 20s with mostly cloudy and mainly dry conditions overnight and to begin your Sunday.
Highs on Sunday look to approach the upper 30s, and then we track our next weak area of low pressure make its trek towards the Twin Tiers. This clipper system will make its impact late Sunday night into early Monday, delivering some light snow to the area. Snow accumulations look to range between 1-2″ with higher amounts in higher elevations. Most areas to get a fresh coating of white before Christmas eve. Give yourself extra time if traveling for any holiday plans Sunday night as roads may become slippery. Highs on Monday near the mid 30s.
Heading into Christmas day we see flurries still possible with temperatures near average in the mid 30s. High pressure looks to take control into mid week meaning dry conditions and some sun, but we again track a low pressure system that could bring rain to the area into Thursday night and Friday along with above average temperatures in the 50s.
