SUNDAY SUNRISE: 5:43 AM
SUNDAY SUNSET: 8:25 PM
We start off your Sunday mainly dry with some sunshine across the region! We track an area of low pressure bringing a warm front towards the region. This will allow temperatures to top off in the low to mid-80s – summer-like warmth, instability caused by the warm front will allow for the chance for some severe thunderstorms this afternoon. These storms could produce locally heavy rainfall, hail, damaging winds. Rainfall totals between a 0.10″ – 0.25″ with locally higher amounts in any thunderstorms. Keep with us online and on-air for the latest on severe weather updates.
Tonight showers and storms linger with lows overnight staying in the low 60s. Monday the risk of showers and a few storms do exist but that looks to decrease through the day as we track a cold front push through the region bringing cooler temperatures mid-week. Monday highs will still be close to 80. Tuesday we see sunshine return along with dry conditions and highs in the upper 60s.
The week ahead is looking on the dry side of things, with plenty of dry time and the chance for sunshine Tuesday and Wednesday. However, if you are planning time outside on this Sunday, pay special attention this afternoon, if you hear thunder or see lightening get indoors.
