A smaller area of high pressure moves into the region today, giving way to a beautiful end to our holiday weekend. Sunshine today with dry conditions and temperatures that will be right near average in the mid to upper 70s. Winds will remain on the lighter side today but will begin to turn out of the north this afternoon around 5-10 mph.
Clouds begin to increase tonight as we track an area of low pressure moving into the region. The risk for showers exists late tonight with low temperatures falling into the low 50s. This is the beginning of a very unsettled week ahead, with storm and shower chances heading into midweek. Tuesday we track mostly cloudy skies with showers and storms possible throughout the morning and afternoon. Highs on Tuesday will be a bit cooler in the low to mid-70s.
Wednesday and Thursday the shower and storm chance remains with a warming trend. Highs near the upper 70s on Wednesday, and then near 80 once again for Thursday. We track a cold front pushing through late Thursday that will bring cooler but drier air into Friday and Saturday, where we could track sunshine returning.
