A Tornado Watch no longer in effect for the Northern Tier.
The main concern Tuesday thunderstorms which may become strong to severe into Tuesday evening. Biggest threats for severe weather being gusty winds, large hail, heavy rainfall, and isolated tornadoes. Storm reports coming out of Bradford County Tuesday evening include a barn being destroyed, house totaled with the roof blown off, and a tractor-trailer turned over. Severe weather threat comes to an end for the Northern Tier by dark, but lingering showers still possible overnight. Areas of fog develop and lows near 50 degrees.
Keeping the chance for showers and thunderstorms Wednesday as a frontal system continues to impact the region. This time around, the Twin Tiers in a Marginal Risk (the lowest category out of 5) for strong to severe thunderstorm development with less instability present. Best chances for any severe weather being in southern portions of Pennsylvania. Limited sunshine for the day with highs close to 70 degrees. Temperatures Wednesday night into the 50s.
Chance for showers and thunderstorms continues for Thursday, best timing in the afternoon into the night. Highs Thursday into the 70s. An area of high pressure brings dry weather for Friday with decreasing clouds. Highs Friday near 70 degrees. Another frontal system this weekend brings the chance for showers and thunderstorms by late day Saturday and lingering for Sunday.
