AVERAGE HIGH FOR MAY 6TH: 67°
AVERAGE LOW FOR MAY 6TH: 40°
MONDAY SUNRISE: 5:57 AM
MONDAY SUNSET: 8:11 PM
We are off to our first full week of may with sunshine back in the forecast! Some clouds linger early this morning, but clouds continue to decrease into the afternoon as partly sunny conditions develop. We look to stay mainly dry today with warmer temperatures, back into the low 70s for highs. Winds should stay on the lighter side, out of the northwest 0-5 mph.
As we head into tonight, clouds will once again increase as we track another frontal system moving towards the Twin Tiers. Lows tonight in the upper 40s to near 50 degrees. This will increase the showers chance into Tuesday along with cool our temperatures back off, with high temperatures in the mid-60s. As this front moves through we could see the possibility of a heavy downpour or rumble of thunder, but not looking at anything severe.
Headed into mid-week, Wednesday looks on the drier side with some sunshine, before showers roll in to end the work week. Our coolest day looks to occur Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the low 60s, before warming back into Friday to near 70. Temperatures forecasting looks to be tricky this week, however, as many frontal boundaries are moving through the area, making accuracy especially troublesome – so these numbers will change as we get closer.
