AVERAGE HIGH FOR MAY 6TH: 67°
AVERAGE LOW FOR MAY 6TH: 40°
MONDAY SUNRISE: 5:57 AM
MONDAY SUNSET: 8:11 PM
Weak high pressure in place leads to a quiet Monday night. Mostly clear to start with high pressure still in place, then increasing clouds late as our next disturbance approaches from the west. Staying dry and lows in the mid to upper 40s.
Turning cloudy for Tuesday as moisture moves into the region. A cold front passing brings the chance for showers into the afternoon and early evening. Limited instability also present, so rumbles of thunder possible. Rainfall staying light, around a 0.10″ or less. Highs for Tuesday in the low to mid 60s. Drying out for Tuesday night and lows near 40 degrees.
High pressure building in from the north Wednesday leads to decreasing cloud cover for the Southern Tier. Still, a frontal boundary to our south may bring a little more cloud cover to the Northern Tier and a chance for a spotty shower. Rainfall again staying light. Highs Wednesday into the low 60s. Low pressure impacting the region for the end of the workweek. Rain becomes likely for Thursday and for Friday. Instability present for thunderstorms to also be possible for Friday. Potential for heavy rainfall between Thursday and Friday, something to keep an eye on over the next few days.
