WEDNESDAY SUNSET: 8:14 PM
High pressure builds into the region for the day today, which means dry and quiet conditions remain. Grab those sunglasses when heading out the door as well, because sunshine returns for the day today, with a mixture of clouds at times. High temperatures will top off in the low to mid-60s this afternoon. Clouds will begin to increase into tonight as we track our next weather maker approaching the area. Lows overnight will fall into the lower 40s. Overall a near average day today with sun and clouds at times. Enjoy the sunshine because we most likely will not see it until the start of your weekend!
Heading into Thursday, low pressure moves over the Great Lakes as a warm front moved towards the Twin Tiers late. Rainfall associated with this should arrive towards the evening and overnight hours Thursday, but it will act to hold in the cloud cover for your day Thursday. Temperatures staying in the 60s before warming into the low to mid-70s for Friday. Winds will be breezy at times out of the south, helping to usher in warmth into Friday. The cold front then passes later Friday, which will bring the best chance for rain, that could be heavy at times along with stray thunderstorms. Isolated localized flooding could become an issue, so if you live in a flood-prone area, take note.
Otherwise, sunshine returns Saturday with temperatures in the 60s before the chance for showers moves in for Mothers Day.
