AVERAGE HIGH FOR JUNE 14TH: 78°
AVERAGE LOW FOR JUNE 14TH: 53°
FRIDAY SUNRISE: 5:31 AM
FRIDAY SUNSET: 8:44 PM
Showers look to linger very early this morning before dry conditions move in for late morning and your afternoon. We start off on the cloudy side but clouds decrease and become mostly sunny by this afternoon and evening. Winds will turn out of the west, gusty at times, over 30 mph at times through the afternoon as high pressure builds in. Temperatures will thus remain below average but slightly warmer than yesterday, topping off near 70 degrees. Overnight we track a few clouds, staying mainly dry with lows around 50 degrees.
Saturday we start with some sunshine and a mixture of clouds as we track a frontal boundary moving towards the Twin Tiers. This will bring not only increasing cloud cover into the afternoon but the slight chance for a few showers in the afternoon and rain overnight. Winds will remain on the gusty side but turn out of the southwest allowing for temperatures to reach into the mid-70s Saturday and upper 70s for Sunday.
This frontal boundary will begin to stall out over the Twin Tiers for Fathers Day, keeping the chance for showers and storms through most of the day – not great for any outdoor plans for any fathers! We track showers lingering into Monday and Tuesday before slightly drier conditions and some sunshine return mid next week.
