Flash Flood Watch has been canceled for Tioga (NY) and Bradford counties.

A nearly stationary frontal boundary continues to impact the region through midweek. Spotty showers and isolated thunderstorms continue Wednesday evening through the overnight. These are slow moving and dropping locally heavy rainfall. Additional rainfall through Wednesday night under 0.10″, but locally higher amounts possible in slow moving showers and thunderstorms.

A wave of low pressure moves along the nearly stationary frontal boundary Thursday giving us another round of showers and thunderstorms. Plenty of moisture with this system so heavy rainfall is again a possibility. Average amounts of 1-2″, but localized higher amounts also possible. Keeping an eye on any possible flooding for Thursday. Storm Prediction Center keeps the Northern Tier in a Slight Risk (2 out of 5, 5 being the highest) and the Southern Tier in a Marginal Risk (1 out of 5) for strong to severe thunderstorm development. Gusty winds and hail possible along with heavy rainfall in thunderstorms that may develop. Highs for Thursday into the low to mid 70s and dew point temperatures into the 60s. Chance for showers continues Thursday night and lows in the mid to upper 50s.

Showers may linger Friday before low pressure exits off the coast. Decreasing clouds as dry air moves into the region. Highs Friday near 70 degrees. High pressure in control for Saturday giving us a dry day with some sunshine. Highs Saturday into the 70s. Next frontal system approaches the region late Sunday into early next week. Late day showers possible Sunday and highs near 80 degrees.
