Flash Flood Watch in effect for portions of the Twin Tiers through tonight.

A stationary frontal boundary continues to impact the Twin Tiers into Thursday as we track a wave of low pressure traveling along it moving towards the region. Heavy rainfall is possible this morning through the afternoon hours as thunderstorms could also be severe at times. Rainfall amounts by the end of the day could be between 1-2″ with locally higher amounts possible. This much amount of rainfall on top of what we have already received could create flash flooding across the Twin Tiers at any time this morning and afternoon. Gusty winds and hail are possible with any thunderstorms that appear today along with heavy rainfall the could reduce visibility. Hight temperatures today in the low to mid-70s – you will feel that humidity when stepping out the door as dew points remain in the 60s – not a great day for that hair.

The chance for showers looks to continue tonight, but not as heavy. Lows overnight falling into the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. Patchy fog is also possible once again. A few showers could linger into the morning hours on Friday before we track decreasing clouds and dry air re-entering the region for Friday afternoon. High temperatures will be slightly cooler than average but topping off in the low to mid-70s.

Sunshine continues Saturday and Sunday with dry and comfortable conditions. Temperatures on Saturday in the mid-70s, Sunday we will be close to 80 degrees. We track another disturbance move in for early next week that could reintroduce the rain chance to the Twin Tiers so enjoy the dry and sunny weather ahead for the weekend!
