AVERAGE HIGH FOR JUNE 5TH: 76°
AVERAGE LOW FOR JUNE 5TH: 50°
WEDNESDAY SUNRISE: 5:32 AM
WEDNESDAY SUNSET: 8:39 PM
A warmer start to your day today, with temperatures in the 50s to near 60 degrees this morning. We track our next frontal system moving into the Twin Tiers for today, bringing with it the chance for showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Any storms that develop this afternoon are not looking to be severe, just a heavy downpour with a rumble of thunder looks possible. Average rainfall amounts to expect are less than a quarter of an inch, locally higher amounts possible in any downpours. Temperatures will be much warmer today, back close to 80 degrees for your afternoon.
Tonight and early tomorrow a cold front then passes through the region. Lows overnight will be in the upper 50s close to 60 degrees. Some showers linger tonight but we begin to track a drying trend into late week. Some showers linger very early Thursday before we start to see increasing sunshine through late morning and the afternoon. Highs on Thursday in the mid 70s. Sunshine looks to dominate not only Friday but Saturday and Sunday, as well as a large area of high pressure, moves in. Temperatures these days will be close to 80 degrees.
Our next chance for any rainfall after today looks to move in for early next week, with temperatures staying at or above average.
