A few showers linger early this morning as a cold front passes through the region. We are waking up to temperatures in the 60s once again, so off to a mild start. Highs this afternoon will be slightly cooler compared to yesterday, topping off in the mid-70s. Skies will remain mostly cloudy this morning but will begin to clear and give way to some sunshine this afternoon, first clearing out in portions of the Southern Tier.
Tonight we see mostly clear skies, with temperatures falling into the upper 40s to near 50 degrees as a large area of high pressure builds in. We then track a dry and sunny end to the workweek on Friday. Highs will be slightly warmer than average topping off near 80 degrees. Sunshine looks to continue into Saturday with a few clouds into Sunday as our next system moves in for the start of your workweek. Highs Saturday and Sunday, summer-like, in the low 80s!
Monday and Tuesday of next week look to be on the dreary side, with showers and storms possible, but we will have to narrow down the exact time frame when we get closer. Temperature trends look to keep us at or above average into next week.
