Four arrested in Corning meth bust

Four people are behind bars Thursday afternoon after they were arrested in Corning earlier this week following a meth bust.

According to police, a car driven by 32-year-old Robert Baker, of Addison, was pulled over just before 3 a.m. Tuesday morning as it entered Lamphear Court with inadequate tail lamps.

Upon questioning, police found Baker and three passengers to be in possession of a controlled substance.

After searching the car, Police said that they found more than an eighth of an ounce of methamphetamine packaged for sale.

Baker, along with 31-year-old Melanie Stoudt, of Addison, 25-year-old Zachary Snyder, of Roulette, Pennsylvania, and 18-year-old Juan Abreu, of Coudersport, Pennsylvania, were all arrested and sent to the Steuben County jail facing multiple charges.

Each will return to Corning City Court at a later date.
