Fundraisers for local dog shot in legs

Local News

Two events held in mid-September help raise funds for local injured dog called Buster.

Buster went missing from his home near Lindley, New York on September 2. When he was found a few days later near his home, he had been shot twice in his legs. Since September 9, Buster has spent time at Cornell University Hospital for Animals, where he received treatment.

Two fundraising events are scheduled to help Buster’s growing medical expenses:

  • “Team Buster Bustin’ Bootie For Buster” Saturday, September 15, at 2 p.m. as part of Lawrenceville Days at the Cinderella Softball Field in Lawrenceville. Gift baskets will be raffled, and baked goods, craft items, and “Bustin for Buster” T-shirts will be sold. Anyone wishing to donate items to raffle or sell, contact Darcy Leach or Deb McCullen through private messenger on Facebook.
  • Friday, September 21, at Hall’s Homes and Lumber on Route 287, Tioga. Baked goods and T-shirts will be for sale starting at 9 a.m. until items are sold out.

Further donations can be sent to Wellsboro Small Animal Hospital at 12043 Route 287, Middlebury Center, PA 16935, or by calling 570-376-2800. Mention the donation is for Buster Brown, owned by Jill and Brian Hall.

Donations can also be sent via PayPal to Buster.b.hall@gmail.com.
