Grandson of Riverside fire victim charged with manslaughter, making meth

UPDATE: According to New York State Police the victim in the fire is 82-year-old Gladys Ann Willow.

Willow is the grandmother of Justin L. Gause who is facing several charges in this case.

UPDATE: According to The Leader,  Justin Gause is currently in the Steuben County Jail after the fire sparked just before 8:30 this morning.

Gause has been charged with manslaughter, reckless endangerment and unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine.

Authorities have not yet released the name of the woman killed during the blaze. More details are expected to be released at a later time.

UPDATE 2:40 p.m.: One woman has died in the hospital after a house fire Tuesday morning.

The County Coroner was called to the hospital after the fire.

According to The Leader, one person has been arrested relating to the fire.

UPDATE 11:36 a.m.: New York State Police in Painted Post and Steuben County Fire Investigators are investigating a house fire on Townsend Avenue that started around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday.

Several victims were taken to area hospitals in unknown conditions.

Crews responded to a structure fire just before 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning in the Village of Riverside, just outside of Corning.

City of Corning firefighters were called out to the home on Townsend Avenue for mutual aid.
