ARKPORT, N.Y. (WETM) – A Hornell woman was arrested by the Steuben County Sheriff’s Department after allegedly driving under the influence with children in the vehicle.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, deputies were dispatched to a residence in Arkport for a report of a woman threatening two women with a knife. The department alleges that Amanda Marriott, 34, also drove intoxicated on Oak Street with children in the vehicle.

Marriott was charged with Felony Driving While Intoxicated (Leandra’s Law), three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and two counts of Menacing in the Second Degree.

Marriott was held in the Steuben County Jail for arraignment in the Centralized Arraignment Court.
