Horseheads High School teams up with the Red Cross to give back to military families

Julia Strife and Kevin Reasons from Horseheads High School stop by 18 News Today to discuss a community service project they have been working on with the American Red Cross. 

The Horseheads High School sophomore class is required to do a community service project every year. This year, the students decided to help military families. 

They have been collecting donations of toiletry items such as toothbrushes, shampoo, or soap to go into care packages to send to military families. The care packages will also contain kid friendly items such as crayons and coloring books.

Donations are being accepted at the Horseheads district office from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dontations will be accepted until April 26.
