House introduces bill banning cat and dog meat

A bill making it illegal to trade in or consume dog and cat meat is close to becoming law.

The Dog and Cat Meat Trade Prohibition Act is currently in the House of Representatives. The bill would make illegal nation wide to ship, transport, possess, purchase, or sell dog or cat meat for human consumption.

Currently, the only states that ban this practice are New York, Virginia, California, Georgia, and Michigan.
