ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – The grand opening for one of Elmira’s newest tap houses will be this week.
The ILL Eagle Tap House, located in the 117-year-old Historic Federal Building, will open for business at 5:00 p.m. on Sept. 4.
Located on the ground floor of the Historic Federal Building at 200 East Church Street, come enjoy great food, music, and even better drinks. People are talking – and ILL Eagle already has a reputation as being unique, exciting, and outright fun establishment that offers its customers an unsurpassed user experience.ILL Eagle Tap House
The Tap House will have 36 beer taps and 12 wine taps, as well as flights of either option. The tentative food options will include a variety of cheese, fresh fruit, and hummus platters for starters. Shrimp cocktail will also be offered as well as a variety of tacos and their signature pizzas.
Patrons will check-in at the front desk with their ID and card, then utilize the self-serve taps known as “Pour my Beer.” Craft beers include: Upstate Brewery, Liquid Shoes, Brewery of Broken, and Southern Tier.
“Elmira now has another a fantastic destination in our City with the opening of the ILL Eagle Tap House,” said Elmira Mayor Dan Mandell. “Many thanks go out to the owners of the Federal Building, Nick Difasi and Ryan Wieder for all their hard work and dedication in making this business a reality. I encourage people to stop by and visit this new business in our downtown. We’re seeing a resurgence in both interest and investment which is making the push towards having the district be dining and entertainment-focused.”
The Tap House also has a billiards room and a separate room for darts and lawn games. ILL Eagle also contains two private rooms – both with T.V.’s and tables for the costumer’s entertainment, as well as a second self-serve tap.
The current hours for the taproom are 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sundays.
