In this week’s episode of Jump Start to Living Well, 18 News Today anchor Elizabeth Worthington and New York Sport and Fitness trainer Heather Maio discuss how to start your day off right, with the most important meal of the day. Heather recommends a protein-packed breakfast that will keep you fuller longer than something like a granola bar, or rice cakes.

Heather also suggests we just rid the word “breakfast” from our vocabulary; she says most of the items people consider breakfast foods aren’t necessarily going to help you start your day off on the right food. She actually has a salad and burger for her first meal of the day sometimes!

As for a quick, on-the-go breakfast, Heather suggests making things like egg cups ahead of time.
