Students from Edison High School in Elmira Heights will spend their Friday cleaning trash and litter from the Chemung River.

It’s part of their Second Annual Community Service Day. The 25-30 students and adults are expecting to clean about 150 lbs. of trash and litter from the Southside bank of the river between the Main Street and Walnut Street bridges.

Their efforts will be completed in partnership with Chemung River Friends.
